The Watford FC has been having a successful season. With 12 wins, the team is having one of its best seasons in recent years. During this season, the team has been able to win enough games to compete for the FA Cup. Part of the team’s success has been the performance of a couple of its top players. These players have had an integral role in the team’s improved play and success during the season. They have helped lead the team to its current winning record. Beginning in August, Watford won three of its first five games. It would then get into a bit of a slump by winning only two of its next five games. Watford would bounce back and win two of its last three games.
With the team’s success, many members of the organization have been very happy with the progress. Individuals such as the managers, the coaches and the players have frequently made comments on the team’s performance. With a string of wins during the season, Watford has proven that it has a legitimate chance to compete for a championship this season. If the team wins its final game against Manchester City, they will be eligible for a playoff appearance.
Watford’s success has certainly made co owner Gino Pozzo very satisfied. He recently bought an ownership stake in the team in order to capitalize on the potential success of English Premier League football. Gino’s father owned two football clubs which gave him experience in running these types of organizations. Pozzo has used an active approach to the football club become one of the most competitive in the league. His past experience owning a team was in Spain when he helped make Granada one of the most successful clubs in the entire league. With Watford’s continued winning, Pozzo will hopefully be able to see the team win a championship this season.
Sadie Keller is a fifth grader who is just 11 years old. She is a leukemia survivor and has been inspiring people as she seeks support for battling childhood cancer. She founded the Sadie Keller Foundation, and businessman and entrepreneur Matthew Fleeger decided to team up with her to reach more people. Sadie’s cancer started when she was just 7 years old. She was forced to undergo chemotherapy and has had to deal with side effects of this for years. She missed 2nd and 3rd grade but is now free from cancer.
Sadie made a series of videos after her leukemia diagnosis, where she talked in detail about her experiences. She admitted in the videos that cancer treatment can be scary; especially when its effects were unpredictable. Her original videos were a secret, but she eventually began to put her videos on Youtube. The creation of the Sadie Keller Foundation came about in order to bring awareness to the need for more funding for research into leukemia. Her efforts to get the word out caught the attention of Matthew Fleeger, and he helped out by hosting Sadie’s Sleigh toy drive in 2018. The drive raised thousands of dollars for the cause and was able to keep the Foundation running, as well.
Matthew Fleeger was happy to be a part of the toy drive, and he hopes to be able to continue to support the foundation. Thanks to Sadie Keller and her foundation, thousands of children undergoing treatment for cancer have recieved gifts. Sadie has also been a part of lobbying efforts and activism to help bring more attention to cancer and leukemia. Her hard work led to legislation being passed that increases the funding for research into childhood cancer. The two initiatives she helped to get passed were called the Star Act and the Race for Children Act, and Matthew Fleeger plans on doing everything he can to continue supporting her foundation.
Boraie Development is a real estate development company that builds residential, retail, and office towers in urban areas. After building a structure they manage the property, including renting units out and maintaining the building. They have been in business since the early 1970s and were founded by Omar Boraie, an immigrant from Egypt.
One of their latest luxury towers is The Aspire in downtown New Brunswick. This tower includes 238 residential units and 10,00 sq ft of retail space at the bottom. It has an attached parking garage with an elevator that goes directly to the lobby.
Residents of this building have access to a lot of amenities. Among these is a rooftop sundeck and a garden space to bring guests to for a barbeque. There is also a fitness center with all of the latest equipment and an area to do yoga.
Boraie Development built another similar tower in Newark. This one was built in a partnership they formed with former NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal. This is just the first residential and commercial tower to be built in this partnership. They are planning on building more in New Jersey’s more distressed areas where market-rate units are needed.
They started construction on this rental complex in 2013. It cost $60 million and was the first residential tower to be built in Newark in half a century. To celebrate the beginning of the project, Shaquille O’Neal and executives from Boraie Development were on hand for a ceremony. Also there was the mayor of Newark at the time, Cory Booker, and U.S. Senator Robert Menendez.
Shaquille O’Neal says that he is helping to plan these projects but he is leaving the details in the hands of the real estate professionals at Boraie Development. He just wants each building to be beautiful and help Newark.
